Sandwich South Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP)

Windsor, Ontario 2022 – Present

Study area map of Sandwich South

Urban Strategies is working collaboratively with RWDI on a Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP) for the Sandwich South area, the largest greenfield development area in the city of Windsor, a site with high potential for development of Net-Zero (or near-zero) neighbourhoods. The City of Windsor aims to develop the Sandwich South area in a manner consistent with the environmental and sustainability goals set out in the City’s Community Energy Plan; Climate Change Adaptation Plan; Environmental Master Plan; Active Transportation Master Plan; and More Than Transit Plan.

Urban Strategies is overseeing the community engagement process, which involves the preparation and monitoring of an online survey and the organization and facilitation of workshops with stakeholders, councillors, and community members.
